Springfield College To Host Alumni & Student Career Networking Event on November 2

Springfield, MA (10/31/2023) — Springfield College is proud to host an exciting opportunity for its students to connect with accomplished alumni during the Evening of Alumni & Student Career Networking event. Sponsored by the Office of Alumni Relations and the Student Alumni Association, this event is set to take place on Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Cleveland E. and Phyllis B. Dodge Room, Flynn Campus Union, on the campus of Springfield College.

"For the past ten-plus years, alumni from a variety of career fields have joined us for an evening of networking where current undergraduate and graduate students have the opportunity to connect and learn from professionals who have a vested interest in their success. The experiences of our alumni align well with our students' career aspirations, which has resulted in many success stories over the years including internship and job placements," said Springfield College Director of Alumni Relations, Deleney Magoffin. "We couldn't be more excited to welcome back alums from a variety of organizations, including the Boston Red Sox, Converse, and the American Heart Association."

The Alumni and Student Career Networking event is designed to help students develop and refine their networking skills while establishing valuable connections with experienced alumni. As they embark on their professional journeys, students will benefit from the wisdom and insights of accomplished Springfield College graduates. Nearly 50 alums are slated to return to Alden Street to share their experiences.

One unique feature of this event is the structured networking format. Upon arrival, students will be assigned to tables alongside alumni, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations. This approach helps create a welcoming atmosphere, making it easy for students to approach and learn from alumni in various fields.

This program is open to students of all levels and disciplines, including traditional first years, sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students.
