Springfield College Announces Faculty Promotions

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Springfield College Board of Trustees awarded tenure, promotion, long-term appointment, and emeritus status to select faculty members at its recent meeting. The announcement was made by interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Mary Ann Coughlin.

Promoted to the rank of professor are Justine Dymond (Belchertown, Mass.), English, School of Arts and Sciences; Michelle Moosbrugger (Longmeadow, Mass.), physical education, School of Physical Education, Performance and Sport Leadership; and, Meghan Migeon (Shelburne, Mass), physician assistant studies, School of Health Sciences.

Achieving tenure and promotion to associate professor are Jessica Barrett (Agawam, Mass.), athletic training, School of Physical Education, Performance and Sport Leadership; Lisa Bromberg (Longmeadow, Mass.), math, School of Arts and Sciences; Matthew Brubaker (Springfield, Mass.), psychology, School of Social Work and Behavioral Sciences; Debra Burnett (Vernon, Conn.), communication sciences and disorders, School of Health Sciences; Jessica Poser (Amherst, Mass.), art and community engagement, School of Arts and Sciences; and, Ny Mia Tran (Everett, Mass.), psychology, School of Social Work and Behavioral Sciences.

Achieving long-term appointment and promotion to associate professor are John Cipora (Palmer, Mass.), early childhood education, School of Arts and Sciences; Carey Leckie (Southwick, Mass.), occupational therapy, School of Health Sciences; and, Gregory Webster (East Longmeadow, Mass.), physical education health education, School of Physical Education, Performance and Sport Leadership.

Achieving long-term appointment are Gemma Bartha (Rocky Hill, Conn.), biology, School of Arts and Sciences; Katherine Bowen (Newtown, Conn.), physical education, School of Physical Education, Performance, and Sport Leadership; and, Jeff Gagnon (Chicopee, Mass.), physics, School of Arts and Sciences.

Achieving tenure is Scarlett (Seong-In) Choi (Watertown, Mass.), counseling psychology, School of Social Work and Behavioral Sciences.

Professor of Psychology Britton Brewer (Wilbraham, Mass.) and Professor of Physical Education and Director of Educator Preparation and Licensure Linda Davis-Delano (Northampton, Mass.) were awarded faculty emeritus status.
