Whitney Robinson of Springfield, Mass (01108) is the recipient of the 2015 Springfield College John M. Wilson Diversity Leadership Award.

This award recognizes a student who embodies the legacy of John M. Wilson, the Springfield College director of multicultural affairs who dedicated his life to working across differences toward mutual understanding and acceptance. The recipient demonstrates sensitivity and commitment to differences reflected in race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and religion. The student possesses an ability to lead by reaching out to groups of students enrolled at Springfield College, and has demonstrated a commitment to fostering a community that is safe and more inclusive for everyone.

The Springfield College Division of Student Affairs recognizes student leaders for their significant contributions to Springfield College and/or the city of Springfield at the annual PRIDE (Proud Recognition of Individuals Dedicated to Excellence) Awards Ceremony each year.
