Springfield College men's lacrosse student-athlete Jake Reynolds of Scituate, MA was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week.

Reynolds, who was selected to the Inside Lacrosse Division III Preseason All-America Second Team, anchored a defensive unit that held Nazareth to just one goal in the first half, as Springfield College stormed out to a six-goal lead before eventually escaping with the 10-8 win. The senior goalkeeper registered 10 saves, including four stops in the fourth quarter when the Pride was outshot, 16-4. Reynolds and the Pride's defense also forced the Golden Flyers to a dismal 1-for-4 performance on man-up opportunities.
