Springfield College Student-Athlete Jaimie Bickelhaupt of Brookfield, CT (06804) has been recognized by the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) as well as the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) for her impressive play in a pair of wins the week of Feb. 1-7 as she was named NEWMAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week and earned herself a spot on the NEWBA Honor Roll on Feb. 9.

Bickelhaupt, a Sport Management major at Springfield, helped the Pride to a pair of NEWMAC victories this past week against Smith and Emerson, while averaging 14.5 points, 12 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per contest. Against Smith, the junior went for 15 points and 11 rebounds, registering her 11th double-double of the season and notching her 1000th career point as part of the Springfield women's basketball program. On Saturday versus Emerson, Bickelhaupt led the Pride with 14 points and 13 rebounds and was key down the stretch in the 11-point victory.
