Sarah Pongratz Receives Springfield College Student Humanics Award

Sarah Pongratz of Winchester, MA, 01890, received the 2011 Springfield College Student Humanics Award, at the college's 85th Stepping Up Day ceremonies, at the Richard B. Flynn Campus Union Patio, on April 14, 2011, on the college campus. Pongratz, a fourth-year student whose major field of study is psychology, received the presentation from Lauren Grimes Youmans, Springfield College Alumni Council vice president.

The Student Humanics Award is given to seniors for their scholarship, leadership, contributions to campus co-curricular life and personification of the humanics philosophy. Humanics focuses on education of the whole person – spirit, mind and body – for leadership in service to humanity.
