Melissa Milich of Oakland, NJ (07436) is the recipient of the 2015 Springfield College Class of '57 Outstanding Senior Leadership Chair.

This award honors a senior who has demonstrated the ability to work as an effective group member and group leader, has made significant contributions to the community, and has an understanding and appreciation of the opportunities and challenges in a world that is increasingly diverse, multicultural, and international. This award was established in 2002 with generous contributions from members of the Class of 1957.

A member of the Alden Street Review editorial board; a member of Sigma Tau Delta, the English honor society; a participant in Habitat for Humanity Alternative Spring Break trips; organizer of the Giving Tuesday campaign-- Milich has served the campus in a vast number of leadership roles, including work with Pre-Camp and LTC.

Milich is majoring in English.
