Ciara McCready of Ludlow, MA (01056) is the recipient of the 2015 Springfield College PRIDE (Proud Recognition of Individuals Dedicated to Excellence) Award for Outstanding First-Year Student.

This award honors a first-year student who has embraced campus life and volunteer opportunities, has demonstrated a commitment to the Humanics philosophy, and shown the potential to succeed as a leader in service to humanity.

McCready is majoring in Health Science/Occupational Therapy and is an active participant in the Brookings Learning and Success Team (known as BLAST), the Partners Program, the Together Campaign, and Pre-Camp.

The Springfield College Division of Student Affairs recognizes student leaders for their significant contributions to Springfield College and/or the city of Springfield at the annual PRIDE Awards Ceremony each year.
